Notes on work in progress, 15/10/2014 ------------------------------------- Currently (31/12/13) using vicarch.th as the controlling file but will eventually use Main.th when everything works. Looking at downstream sump atm (2/1/2014) Therion debug mode has red and blue lines. These indicate: Red dots: Survey points on scrap, uncorrected. Red lines: As per scrap map, uncorrected. Blue - As corrected against survey. Black - As plotted, omitting invisible lines. Gold - Ties which link surveys (generated); may highlight survey mismatches. Errors: You will get area fill errors if the segments defining the area border are not sequential. 2/1/14 TODO There is a survey problem linking ftshowrail and the drawing room survey, as the high angle lead is a lesser grade survey. It may be OK atm but if it causes drafting problems then we could lower the grade in the drawing room survey. I think there was a transformer in there so it might be better to remove the link. Invisible lines are used to create areas which would otherwise not plot. You can't plot anything outside of the cave walls so you put these lines in to allow scraps of maps to plot, especially when debugging. TODO - Move the cross sections out of the way once all the maps are done. - Where is the extension to the ccofloop survey? I've put its sketch in the ccofloop.th2 map, but I can't link it in yet. BTW the big rock column in this sketch is currently with the Creek Cave map, and could be moved. Field work and survey notes. I'll need to include the latest survey work once the current bugs are fixed. - Drawing Room (where are the sketches?) - Nave or whatsit called in Opera House linking Entrance chamber, surveyed by Rowena. - Lots O Numbers - Deborahs extension - Links between Opera House and the creek - Alan's survey between the Pit Descended and the creek There is no dripline drawn for the southern ent doline, nor are there any cliffs drawn. This should be fixed up on a trip. There is a cable way (passage) linking the Collonnades to the creek cave extension near the Sthn entrance drop (i.e. below the area the visitor is welcomed). This could be dotted in. Further field work Climb/bolt and survey the ceiling rooms. There is supposed to be an upper chamber above the arch surveyed by SSS but I'd need to research this. Also supposedly a cave in the Nth hillside that might link in to the Belfry. Drip line in Southern Doline needs to be surveyed. More detail in "The Pit Descended", including the unstable area which I visited with Robert Brandt etc and the shelf which Rowena noted. Detail in Sth Ballroom, both floor level which Rowena noted and ceiling which may need scaling poles or at least a flying camera. Jill Rowling September 2014
